How To Locate A Deceitful Person

Ever met a person who oozes charm?

Such that he or she is-

Drip

Drip

Drippin’? as is the popular slang these days for something or someone cool?

Such people are filled with flattery, quick to flash a smile, rub their hands together, licking their lips to draw you in… or quick to open doors for you, push your chair in, kiss the back of your hand…

A little disclaimer: Not everyone who does these things can be said to be deceitful still… you are charmed just by the imagery of someone being this captivating aren’t you?

That’s completely understandable.

“Charm is deceitful…” Proverbs 31:30 KJV

A deceitful person has charm.

The deceitfulness of charm.

How to detect such a person?

Let’s take a look at Haman in the Book of Esther shall we?

“When Haman saw for himself that Mordecai didn’t bow down and kneel before him, he was outraged. Meanwhile, having learned that Mordecai was a Jew, Haman hated to waste his fury on just one Jew; he looked for a way to eliminate not just Mordecai but all Jews throughout the whole kingdom of Xerxes.” Esther 3:4-5 THE MSG

See what was in Haman’s heart towards the Jews? See the personal hatred he felt towards them? However, look at how he presented it before the King…!

Haman then spoke with King Xerxes: “There is an odd set of people scattered through the provinces of your kingdom who don’t fit in. Their customs and ways are different from those of everybody else. Worse, they disregard the king’s laws. They’re an affront; the king shouldn’t put up with them. If it please the king, let orders be given that they be destroyed. I’ll pay for it myself. I’ll deposit 375 tons of silver in the royal bank to finance the operation.” Esther 3: 8-9 THE MSG

His words were dripping with charm!

As if he rather wanted the good of the king yet he had a hidden agenda!

A person whose charm is deceitful says one thing but really means the other!

They aim to hurt and maim!

Have you come across such a one, queen or even king, reading this? She said she will marry you but knew deep within her that she wouldn’t carry through with it? A colleague at work who smiles and gives all the excuses when the project comes only to take on all the credit once the project succeeds?

May God continue to grant you the Grace to locate deceitful persons and when you do, may He grant you the wisdom to deal with them as He did with Queen Esther.

“We’ve been sold, I and my people, to be destroyed—sold to be massacred, eliminated. If we had just been sold off into slavery, I wouldn’t even have brought it up; our troubles wouldn’t have been worth bothering the king over.” King Xerxes exploded, “Who? Where is he? This is monstrous!” “An enemy. An adversary. This evil Haman,” said Esther. Haman was terror-stricken before the king and queen. Esther 7:4-6 THE MSG

She saw through Haman such that he became terror stricken when he realised he had been exposed! Haman had to be exposed for Queen Esther to rise to her full potential as a Queen!

May every deceitful person in your life be exposed for you to rise to the full potential of queenship in Christ Jesus!

Stay alert, Queen.

Jesus Loves You and I do Too,

Queens In Christ,
