Single With A Difference

I was gifted with this book last year and I must say that its been ‘spot on’ with so many of its points. This book emphasises on living a distinguished lifestyle while you are single. I was especially glad to have received this book because at the time, I thought there was something wrong with me. Why? I realised I was enjoying my single-hood too much!

Haha; seriously!

As the first chapter says; there is beauty in singleness! You ask, so why are you speaking on preparation when you are clearly enjoying singlehood?

Because I have learnt and I am still learning to be whole in myself even before I say I do to my king who I love so dearly.

According to this book, to be single means to be unmarried so technically the period you have before you marry the man you are courting now is meant for you to allow God to make you whole.

How does one realise he or she is whole?
You need to know your divine purpose. You need to have an idea or a clear vision of what it is God wants you to do here on this earth.

Marriage is particularly ‘banging’ (love that word) when the two people who come together know what it is they want to achieve together. Let’s be honest; the world tends to give the tag “power couple” to two established human beings who come together in marriage. Its hardly so when one of them has not done anything that emanates power. We scream when we hear two lawyers are getting married to each other or actor and actress or a pastor in charge of a church who finds a wife that sings in the choir or two top musicians or celebs. We respect it when two ‘whole’ people come together.

So, sweetheart, if you are waiting for that Prince Charming to climb up into that tower and save you; trust me when I say; he will be so so so so impressed when he climbs into that tower and sees that you have already started building a ladder to save yourself. Haha. But of course, two are better than one; so he will hoist that ladder down to save you both.

Enjoy your period of single-hood. Make something of yourself. Work towards that plan or vision. Don’t say, I am waiting to get married before I start that business or plan…

Recognise God’s timing in your life and start accordingly.

In this new year, you have to commit yourself to discovering God’s purpose for your life. Commit yourself to Him; so He can make you whole.
