Is this love that I’m feelin’?

Over the weekend QEP happened to enjoy a play written by Ebo Whyte.

Amidst the laughter that the play provoked one of the things that stuck or hit home was this song a character sang during the musical play:

In the course of your Queen Esther Preparation journey, there’s the need to ask yourself this, especially when you come to a decision point whether towards that job, goal, dream or man;

Is this love… is this love, is this love, is this love that I’m feelin’?

Because half the time if you really think about it, it may not be love; it may be infatuation.

That job you are going for; that PhD or masters degree, let’s face it, it’s not love you have towards it. Rather, it’s this consuming desire to please. You want that job or PhD not because it’s in line with your calling but rather, arrogantly, you are hoping it will cause you to look better in that person’s eyes.

Is this love you’re feelin’?

That guy who came after you and broke your heart after all his I love you’s, why are you shocked? He may have been infatuated.

Infatuation goes along in the pretense of love until the going gets tough and then the bearer backs out.

So hun,

Is this love… is this love, is this love, is this love that you’re feelin’?

Be sure you are genuinely in love before you marry that man- for marriage is a covenant you don’t want to break.

We see Queen Esther go by the scripture, Do everything in love  as it says in 1 Corinthians 16:14 NIV by pursuing justice for her people.
